SHORT BIO

Steve Cromity is a talented vocalist with a knack for swinging tunes, while also delivering heartfelt ballads. His style is effortlessly smooth and relaxed, but there’s an undeniable passion that shines through in his renditions of lyrics to classic and jazz standards. He truly values the meaning and message behind the songs he performs. The release of his second CD, “All My Tomorrows,” propelled him into the spotlight, earning him praise and recognition. The album was featured on nearly 50 radio stations across the nation, climbing to number 25 on the Jazz Week Top 50, National Airplay Chart for multiple weeks. Critics from as far away as London, Italy, and Hungary have lauded the production, and he’s made guest appearances on notable stations like WBAI, WHPK, and WHCR.  
 
Delayed but not denied, Steve embarked on this musical journey after a successful business career, fulfilling his lifelong passion. From the start, he has been accompanied by top-tier musicians, including Rodney Kendrick, Eric Wyatt, and Emmanuel Harrold on his first CD, “Steppin’ Out” He has since regularly played with a cadre of stellar musicians including Marcus Persiani, Lonnie Plaxico, Dwayne “Cook” Broadnax, Paul Beaudry, Gene Ghee, Patience Higgins.  He’s also collaborated with distinguished talents like James Weidman, Kenyatta Beasley, Bruce Cox, Richard Clements, Eric Lemon, Stanley Banks, Darryl Green, Calton Holmes, Lafayette HarrisBryce Sebastian, Willie Martinez, Tommy Morimoto, among others.  A proud, Bed-Stuy born, Brooklyn, New Yorker, Steve is now a vital presence on the jazz scene in NYC, having performed at some of the city’s most renowned venues, including The Red Rooster, Minton’s, Thompson’s Hotel at Central Park, Smoke, Birdland, and Brownstone Jazz.
